The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 provides comprehensive civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities in the areas of employment, state and local government services, public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications.
It is the policy of the City of Jefferson to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The City is willing to make its services, policies and programs accessible to disabled individuals to the extent that accessibility does not alter the fundamental nature of the service, program or policies or constitute an undue burden on the City. The City of Jefferson has designated the position of ADA Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating all of the City’s compliance efforts with ADA.
Individuals should contact the ADA Coordinator to request accommodations or alternative formats as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please allow three business days to process the request.
