Councilwoman Laura A. Ward - Ward 2

BACKGROUND / PERSONAL

Laura is a life-long resident of Mid-Missouri and moved to Jefferson City in 1999. She and her husband, Michael, have two children. Their son, Patrick is a graduate of Helias Catholic High (HCH) and attends the University of Missouri, and daughter, Ella, is a sophomore at HCH. They have restored two historic properties in Ward 2 and enjoy living in the downtown area.

  • Professional Experience
  • Laura has been employed at the University of Missouri since 1994. She works in the medical compliance field for MU’s School of Medicine where she is responsible for the development, coordination, and promotion of effective compliance seminars and training events in order to increase compliance awareness and minimize compliance risks.
