Capital Eclipse Camping

Capital Eclipse
Jefferson City is closer to the line of Maximum Eclipse than either Kansas City or St. Louis. Indeed parts of these two large metropolitan areas will be in partial, not total, eclipse. As the eclipse travels west to east, Missouri is the first state where, thanks to our road system, it is readily accessible to populations from the east. Totality will occur near solar noon (1:15 pm CDT) when the sun is high in the sky and unobstructed by trees, mountains, or buildings.
