Outdoor Activities

Need some motivation to spend some time outdoors?  You got it!

  • Better air quality than indoors.  The Environmental Protection Agency suggests indoor air pollutants are 2 to 5 times higher than outdoor levels.
  • Your daily dose of Vitamin D.  80-90% of a body's Vitamin D is obtained through exposure to sunlight.  It is used for treating weak bones, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.
  • Mental exercise.  Outdoor recreation has psychological benefits and provides an increased sense of adventure and exhilaration.
