Environmental Health Services Division

Our Purpose
Contribute to the quality of life by promoting the safety of the community through environmental health education, inspections and enforcement of environmental health laws and regulations in Jefferson City.

What We Do
The Environmental Health Division provides inspections and permitting of food and beverage establishments including restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, hospitals, schools, catering services, taverns, and temporary food events. The Division also conducts inspections of body art establishments, and provides sanitation inspections to child care facilities and summer food service programs under contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Education is also provided to the industry and consumers regarding environmental health topics such as food safety, disease and vector control, and clean indoor air ordinances to improve the quality of life for citizens and visitors of Jefferson City.

Our Environmental Public Health Staff is committed to providing quality environmental public health services to the citizens of Jefferson City.
