Get a Towed Vehicle

Impounded vehicles may only be released to the registered owner of a vehicle.  To have an impounded vehicle released, the owner must come to the Police Department front lobby and produce a government-issued form of identification which must match the information on the title registered through the Missouri Department of Revenue.  In the case of a pending summons, the owner must first sign and accept the summons, then barring any other evidentiary need to keep the vehicle, it will be released to the owner.  Once released, Police Department personnel will contact the respective towing company to advise them that the vehicle has been signed for and is no longer in our custody.

After regular business hours, persons wishing to have their vehicle released should call the non-emergency number at (573) 634-6400 and ask to speak to a Shift Commander.
