JEFFTRAN Announcement – – All Routes Return to Regular Service in October

All JEFFTRAN routes will return to regular operation on October 2nd, 2023.  
Due to a driver shortage, which started in February of 2023, JEFFTRAN service was adjusted to an alternating route system.   
The City of Jefferson and JEFFTRAN staff would like to thank the public for their patience during this period.

Extreme Weather Conditions

During heavy snow or ice JEFFTRAN buses may operate on an Weather Emergency Flex Schedule. JEFFTRAN will not cancel service unless travel is determined to be hazardous.  If bus service is running on an Weather Emergency Flex Schedule or canceled, it will be announced on Facebook

Remember Always Check Facebook  for  Weather Updates and Listen to Local Radio Stations.

Bus riders can see the location of all JEFFTRAN's fixed route buses and determine the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of buses at any designated bus stop in Jefferson City.

Since 1974, the City of Jefferson's Transit Division (otherwise known as JEFFTRAN) has offered fixed-route public transit service along with Handi-Wheels, an origin-to-destination transit service for special needs populations. 

JEFFTRAN strives to provide exceptional customer service to ALL our clients.

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 6:40 am to 6:00 pm. 
Dispatch/scheduling hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
