Community Bike Rides are open to anyone looking for a group of laid-back cyclists to ride with! Our Lead Cycling Instructors, Jim Coleman and David Bange help the groups ride through the different routes. These rides occur every month from March – November and are geared toward newer or non-competitive cyclists.
All ages are welcomed and this is at NO cost to the participant! We have partnered with Red Wheel Bike Shop who is available before the bike ride starts to provide any assistance with bike maintenance. Capital Region- Healthy Schools, Healthy Communities in Jefferson City has also partnered with us in order to provide FREE helmets to those who need them.
Our bike rides are usually 10 miles long and as we determine which route we will do each month, you can check the table below for details on when and where to meet!
If you have any questions, please reach out to Alexis Kerman at firstname.lastname@example.org or 573-634-6593.
These bike rides are meant to help facilitate a controlled environment for newer (beginner) and non competitive cyclists and serve to educate our participants. Our LCIs will give pointers, tips and information about our route and the best way to ride on it whether that is road biking, trail or green way biking. We want our participants to feel comfortable so we ask that each person ride at their own limit to maintain a safe environment.
Check out the FB page links in the "Location" column for updated information on each ride.
