Due to COVID-19 issues and lack of advancement opportunities, JC Parks has canceled the local MLB Jr. Home Run Derby and Pitch, Hit, & Run events for 2021.
JC Parks is hosting two, special, FREE events for baseball & softball enthusiasts:
MLB Jr. Home Run Derby
MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run
Both events are sponsored nationally by Major League Baseball (MLB).
Both events will be on the same date & time at 2 fields located in the same park.
Jr. HR Derby at Vivion Field in Washington Park
1309 Missouri Blvd. Jefferson City, MO 65109
Pitch-Hit-Run at Lions Field in Washington Park
1310 Washington Park Dr. Jefferson City, MO 65109
Co-hosts: Jefferson City Renegades Baseball, along with High School baseball teams from Jefferson City, Capital City, Helias, Blair Oaks, & Southern Boone.
These are FREE events.
MLB Pitch, Hit & Run:
Showcase your baseball skills at pitching, hitting and running! Boys and girls ages 7-14 will compete separately in four age groups (7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14). Age as of July 17.
Local Level winners will advance to the Sectional Level (May-TBA) with the chance to advance to the Team Championship (June-TBA) at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and the National Finals. National finalists receive a free trip to the All-Star Game.
MLB Jr. Home Run Derby:
Provides youngsters an opportunity to participate in an exciting home run derby competition. Boys and girls ages compete seperately in two age groups 12U or 14U. Age as of July, 17.
Local winners advance to Regional Competitions. Regional Champions will advance and compete in the National Finals during Major League Baseball All-Star Week. Regional Champions in each age group will advance and compete in the Natioanl Finals and receive a free trip for two to MLB All-Star Week.
All participants need to submit a copy of their birth certificate on the day of the event at all levels of competition to be eligible to compete.
Please pre-register for both events by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday before by registering online. Registrations will also be accepted at the fields 1 hour before the event begins.
