CANCELED SUMMER 2020 (due to COVID-19)

Visual Art Academy classes consist of hands on painting, drawing, cartooning, clay and many other mediums taught by local professional artists and art teachers.

Students will break into groups and work with different mediums and instructors throughout the day. The classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the air-conditioned McClung Park Pavilion. Supervision will be available at 8 a.m. and after class until 4 p.m. sharp.

Each student needs to bring a brown bag lunch and drink. The students should wear clothes that art material will not harm. For more information, contact: Kathleen Stroup at (573) 230-5846 or Parks and Recreation at (573) 634-6482.

Camp Location: McClung Park indoor pavilion, 1115 Chestnut Street (IMPORTANT:  Summer 2020 - NcClung Indoor Pavilion is undergoing renovation this spring/summer.  If the pavilion is not finished, the camp will be canceled and all campers will receive a FULL refund.  We will give you as much notice as possible).

Everyone must pay the $15 camp pre-registration fee before they can register for any day camp.  This pre-registration is open.  This is a one-time fee that covers the camper's t-shirt and ePact medical form.

ePact camper medical information must be submitted online before your child(ren can attend any day camp. A link will be emailed within a few days after you have registered for camp.
