Margie Mueller, CPA, serves as the fiscal officer of the City by planning,
organizing, and supervising the fiscal management of the City; advising the City Administrator and City Council on financial matters; and supervising and managing Information Technology services and staff.
Margie is a Jefferson City native and a graduate of Columbia College with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
She began her career working for a private CPA firm in Jefferson City. Margie was employed with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Medical Services for almost 16 years in positions of increasing responsibility, including budget, Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director. She served as the Chief Financial Officer and Information Technology Manager for the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families from 2007 to 2010. Prior to her appointment as the City’s Director of Finance and Information Technology, Margie was the Administrative Services Division Chief and Chief Financial Officer for the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Margie received the Governor’s Award for Quality and Productivity in 1993. She has been a member of the Association of Government Accountants since 2001 and a member of the Government Finance Officers Association since 2016.
Margie is a lifelong resident of Jefferson City. She has two daughters and a son, and five grandchildren. In her spare time, Margie enjoys golfing, reading, bicycling, and spoiling her grandchildren.
