911 Advisory Board
Function
The Joint Communications Operations Advisory Board advises the Jefferson City Police Department on call answering and communications procedures for law enforcement and the fire service throughout Cole County, including response to mutual aid calls from other counties.
In addition, they are tasked with monitoring the performance of the Communications Center and providing an annual written report to the City Council and County Commission related to the performance of the Communications Center.
Membership Information
The Committee shall consist of the following voting members: two members appointed by the City, two members appointed by the County Commission and one member selected by the Presiding Commissioner of the County Commission and the Mayor of the City. No member of the Committee shall be an elected or appointed official of the City or County or any other political subdivision that receives services from the joint communications program or an employee of any such entity. The Jefferson City Chief of Police shall serve as ex officio executive secretary to the Committee, which shall be a non-voting position. Please contact Kay Stuefer at (573) 634-6334, to volunteer.

Ad Hoc Steering Committee on Building Construction Codes
Function
The City of Jefferson Council passed a resolution (RS 2015-09) in December 2015 to create an “Ad Hoc Steering Committee” to review building codes and propose updates. The nine (9) member committee first met February 25, 2016.
They clarified that their purpose was to review and to make recommendations pertaining to the 2015 version of the International Code Council model building codes. Their first major task was to assign community volunteers to the various technical sub-committees.

This is a temporary committee and will be intact till the building code review is completed and the building code ordinances are passed.

Historic Preservation Code Revision Committee
Function: The Stakeholders Committee for Historic Preservation are tasked with meeting regularly to accomplish the following: provide clear procedures for citizens and staff, identify the roles of boards and commissions during the historic preservation process, align local ordinances with the Secretary of Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, and allow for appeals and enforcement of established procedures.
Membership Information: The Stakeholders Committee for Historic Preservation Code Review shall dissolve once its final recommendations are submitted to the City Council or upon the action of the City Council at any time.

Oak Hills Golf Course Advisory Committee
Function
An advisory committee that serves as a sounding board for staff and Commission. They review and make recommendations regarding golf and golf program fees and charges, policies and procedures; monitor maintenance and clubhouse operations and provide suggestions for improvements; make suggestions and recommendations for facility/course capital improvements. Recommendations are taken to the Parks and Recreation Commission for approval. This committee meets three time a year.

Park Resources and Planning Committee
Function
An advisory committee to assist staff in making recommendations regarding park operating policies and procedures; capital projects planning and implementation; park and facility stewardship and maintenance; and park master planning.
