Neighborhood Stabilization Program

In 2009, the City of Jefferson was awarded $440,776 from State of Missouri Department of Economic Development Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Through NSP, the City purchased 6 foreclosed properties for the purpose of rehabilitation, demolition and/or redevelopment of vacant sites for new construction by River City Habitat for Humanity.  

Past NSP Properties 
304 Marshall St - Structure rehabbed and sold to program qualified applicant. 
802 E McCarty St - Structure demolished, vacant land deeded over to River City Habitat for Humanity. 
804 E McCarty St - Structure demolished, vacant land deeded over to River City Habitat for Humanity. 
1109 E Miller St - Rehabbed and sold to program qualified applicant.
814 E McCarty St - Rehabbed and sold to program qualified applicant.
