A reminder to citizens in Jefferson City that the Burning season ends on March 1st at sunset. Each year burning season starts on November 1st and ends at sunset on March 1st. Fire officials encourage citizens to utilize the compost facility at 2417 South Ridge Dr. in Jefferson City. Hours of operation are listed below.

December 1 through March 15

2019 Bulky Item Spring Clean Up
The 2019 Bulky Item Spring Clean Up Event begins on April 8 for residences West of Highway 54 and on April 15 for residences East of Highway 54. Items are to be placed on the curb on Sunday, but no later than 5:00 AM on Monday. Trash and recycling carts will be picked up on normal collection days. All small items that fit in your trash cart must be placed in your trash cart. This event is exclusively for single-family residences, duplexes, triplexes and townhomes with residential cart service through Republic Services and located within the city limits of Jefferson City.
