Service Month - Serve Jeff City & Mission JC

Mayor Fitzwater presented a proclamation to Serve Jeff City and Mission JC declaring April as ‘Service Month.’

Join hundreds of volunteers for a community-wide day of volunteer service to make a significant impact on our City. The event begins at 8:00am at McClung Park for a pancake and sausage breakfast served by Senator Mike Bernskoetter . Groups will break for their service projects around 9:00am.

Serve Jeff City Flyer 2024 - Final

The City of Jefferson City staff is sponsoring a family-friendly greenway and creek clean-up from McCarty Street to Lafayette Street, near Community Park.Volunteers will clean trash from the creek, along the banks, and near the greenway trail.

Litter bags and gloves will be provided. Volunteers will meet at the Lincoln tennis courts on the corner of Dunklin & Lafayette at 9:00am.

Mission JC
Mission JC Is a morning of worship through service in our community. It began in 2013 with one church and today it includes eleven churches, over 700 volunteers and over 60 service projects.

April 28, 2024 at the Special Olympics Event Center, 305 Special Olympics Drive.
8:00 a.m. - Doors open, Doughnuts & Juice!
8:30 to 8:50 a.m. - Inspirational Message and Instructions
 Music: First United Methodist Praise Band
 Devotion: Melissa Hatfield, First Baptist Church
 Benediction: Karen Taylor, First United Methodist Church
9:00 a.m. - Noon - Service Projects
T-shirts will be available for those who do not have one.
